(Last year Dana received grants to provide children's garden education!)

Hi!  I'm Dana, the manager of Stone Soup Garden.   This is such an exciting year for our Garden and especially for kids of all ages in our community.  

 I am so thrilled that Stone Soup Garden received two grants to bring kids out to the farm to learn how to grow veggies!   Because the of generousity of the Wal-Mart Foundation and the Michigan 4-H Foundation, Stone Soup Garden came to all kinds of events to educate kids and inspire gardening projects.   Our programs reached 510 kids this growing season.   Watch for us in 2013!

Our nine educational projects included:

     June 15 Downtown Development Authority's Friday Nite Block Party

     July 26 Great Parent Coalition at Stone Soup Garden

     June, July, August - Youth Volunteer Corps at Stone Soup Garden

     August 4 Open House and Grandparent Day at Stone Soup Garden
